Stock. Or Stock Not.

I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle mag

In her truly awe-inspiring Facebook piece The Top 10 Dirty Tricks, Lynne McTaggart lays into her critics in general and Simon Singh in particular, listing what she claims are the tricks being used against her and her publication, What Doctors Don’t Tell You.

Trick 5 reads:

5. Pretend that the stores are now listening to this campaign. Several of Singh’s supporters have implied that Waitrose have ‘stopped’ stocking us as a result of the campaign. Not true.  Waitrose just chose not to wholesale stock our magazine, but individual managers have the right to stock the magazine if there are requests for it. Some stores stock it; others don’t. None of this has anything to do with Singh’s campaign. If you want to buy it at Waitrose, contact your local store.

Now, if you know that Waitrose don’t wholesale stock your publication, and individual branches only order it in if there are requests for it, could it be seen as misleading if all along you’ve been telling potential advertisers that Waitrose stock it?

I’ll just leave this here.
